Our gardens first Harvest

Last night I picked all the ripe cherries and when Bill came home we went out and picked the Burpee sugar snap peas. THe last day of june and already the fruit of our labor is coming in. I washed off the peas with the help of Caleb. After I blanched themand cooled them Caleb came back and helped to put them in the bags. Three bgs already put away for the long winter!!!

Zach is at camp this week . Caleb is lost with out his brother! Zach was very excited yesterday, in outdoor addventures they found edible plants. By the end of the week they will be able to make a fire boil water and cook of a hot dog and hot chocolate as well as tie off a emergency shelter. After our door adventure Zach heads down to canoeing. The first day they managed to fall out of the canoe splashing each other, today they fell out as part of the skills they learn! His last class is swimming(maybe he should do that before canoeing!) After lunch he goes off with his day cabin mates. HE returns home just before dinner. From a distance it looks like he has a great time!

  1. That was a beautiful picture of the cherry. Caleb is a big help now. He’s growing up too fast!! Looks like Zachy is having a good time at camp, hope he feels better tomorrow.
