August

I cant believe how quickly time has passed this summer.

Zachary went to two  weeks of camp Pinnacle day camp. He was able to participate in Outdoor adventure,Challenge course, archery, swimming and canoeing. The next week he went to gymnastics camp every morning. He had a great time but we were thrilled to not have to get up and out by 8am. At gymnastics camp he had a couch that he had not gotten along with well in the past, but they worked well together. Zach was the oldest and helped a little, aside from setting a good example for the younger ones. The boys worked on pinecar derby cars. on the last day they raced. Zach was the  winner!!!

Caleb of course missed out on all this camp stuff but declared he was going to the tiny boys camp where they had a pool the size of a postage stamp!! He was thrilled to eat with Daddy though, where the fruit is of plenty and Daddy has “Grampas beach crackers” what more could you want in a camp experience!

August 22 we travelled to the fingerlakes for Bills brother Andy’s wedding. It was a chance to see everyone. Bill escorted his Mom down the isle and soon the bride Susan and Andrew were together. They both were so happy. It was a beautiful wedding. (Caleb behaved verywell. Right in the front row!)

Our garden is doing very well we have been enjoying cukes, Kyle and Bill have used most of the squash in the kitchen at camp, the corn has been good but, there has nto been enough for freezing. The tomatoes were awful this year. I think the most enjoyment has been the flowers. My new camera takes wonderful pictures. I have had a great time with this. bugs and dew have never been seen this way before!

WE have slowly started back in at school Zach started off with three lessons in his new lifepacs. These are wonderfully set up and easier to track. Science has slowed a little til we pick up the supplies needed for all the experiments. Caleb is in preschool this year but I think by the new year he will be in Kindergarten. He already knows so much. Gramma and Grampa got him a Fisherprice Cool school computer and he loves it . It helps them to write as well as recognize numbers and begin easy math. He loves the music station and the art as well!
